Samsung Launched Tizen OS -- Technical Review

The South Korean consumer electronics colossus showed off the Samsung Z, its first Tizen-powered smartphone, in a break from the majority of its devices which use the ubiquitous Android operating system.
After Years of delays, Samsung has finally revealed its first Tizen Phone: The high-end device Samsung Z will feature a 4.8 inch Super-AMOLED Display and a Quad-Core-CPU. The phone will comprise many of the innovations known from Samsungs High-end Android Phones Galaxy S4 and S5, and will be running Version 2.2.1 of Tizen.

Brand History

The name 'Tizen' has been bandied about in mobile tech circles for some time now but for anyone other than the most ardent follower of mobile matters, the odd-sounding moniker mightn't mean all that much.
For those who are still unsure what exactly Tizen is, what it might mean to the general tech consumer, and wondering whether it'll prove a viable competitor to Google's Android, we've taken a closer look at this next gen-operating system .

Advantages of using the Tizen OS

What are the advantages of using the Tizen OS to that of what is already in the market, the Android and IOS? Well, Tizen is an open source operating system. Its main feature is its compatibility with multiple mobile
platforms; which means that applications made with the Tizen OS is still compatible and may be launched in other OS like the IOS and Android, with a little code change. This feature of the Tizen OS is very attractive to developers because their application will not only be used by the Tizen market but with the IOS and Android as well. Unlike the android and IOS applications which will only run under those operating systems.

This is also the reason why the Tizen OS developers were very confident that before the launching of the first Samsung Mobile Phone running under Tizen OS, millions of applications will already be available in the market. The confidence of the company is because they know that developers will be attracted with the flexibility of Tizen OS.
Another interesting thing about the new Tizen OS is its extensive personalization capabilities, which is even better than that of Android; it is support by ARM x86 processors; and the very low limits on the development platform of privatization.    Other that those information, there is only little information about the Tizen OS because it has not been officially released in the market, yet. But, developers are expecting to Knock Out the giants like IOS and Android, especially in the Asian countries, by the end of this year when the first Samsung Tizen OS phone is expected to be released.

It is not yet clear if other members of the Tizen Foundation will also present devices based on Tizen in 2014.
Tizen SDK
The Tizen SDK is a comprehensive set of tools for developing Tizen Web and Native applications. It consists of IDE, Emulator, toolchain, sample code, and documentation. Tizen SDK runs on Windows*, Ubuntu*, as well as Mac OS X*. Tizen applications may be developed without relying on an official Tizen IDE, as long as the application complies with Tizen packaging rules.
Tizen is a Linux-based operating system for devices, including smartphones, tablets, in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) devices, smart TVs, laptops and smart cameras. Its licensing model involves software that uses a variety of open source licenses that may be incompatible with the Open Source Initiative (see Licensing model below), and a proprietary software development kit (SDK). It aims to offer a consistent user experience across devices. Tizen is a project within the Linux Foundation and is governed by a Technical Steering Group (TSG) composed of Samsung and Intel among others.
